I hobbled into Morelia with a bad case of something "down under". Still I did my best to comb the streets of this city I had been yearning to visit for several years now.

Morelia is somewhat strange in that it is encircled with what could be easily confused with the US side of any Texas border town - streets lined with KFCs, Pizza Huts, SAMS, Wal-Marts, Home Depots, Discount Tires, the whole typical USA homogenous mix. T

But luckily sealed like a fortress, the outside is held at bay, well, outside of course of ignoring the rogue culture-extincting Starbucks here and there.

Here history still dominates over neon signs.
