Spend hours with a ratchet or use an air wrench to spin in the lag bolts. Watch the board when it begins to move into the wall, the bolt is tight. Don't strip it.

Keep your lines straight.

Put extra pressure by jacking up the stack again just before you add the next lag bolt (stack likes to creep down).

We work our way down, adding one log on the left and then one on the right.

Prep is tedious for each log, as every surface to be caulked or painted has to be sanded prior to install.
