Orquídeas Moxviquil Revisited + Maya Museum of Medicine

In just 3 years this place has really grown! Raining the day we visited, we weren't able to completely capture all the changes in pictures. Inside the greenhouse was a different story; it was simply phenomenal and overbearingly beautiful.

During our visit to the garden we also visited the nearby Maya Museum of Medicine.

The Shaman apparently gives a reading and a recommendation for various herbs to be purchased here and later used in a tea or other manner I was not privileged to also overhearing.

Inside the museum (20 pesos or about a buck and a half entry fee) there are several fascinating replicas of homes and the daily life of the ancient peoples of this area.

Another local chicken "grillary" on ultra north Utrilla provides for a delightful picnic lunch at Orquideas Moxviquil but I decided to tag the record of it to the end of the presentation.
