The Streets of Guanajuato

Wikipedia has a great write up on Guanajuato so what I can't outwit with words I'll try to do with photos. The streets are narrow and steep, and the architecture is 14th century. It's a great and magical place to explore with very few Gringos, an excellent environment for immersion Spanish and just enough wacky funkiness to make me consider soon returning. A Mexican village on steroids with a heavy European twist. Have a look and see for yourself.

A live 220V line is spliced into with pocket knives and electrical tape to provide power for all of the small vendors in front of Mercado Hidalgo. OSHA, don't faint!
