Moved to the Hotel Mary Carmen. I'll be on the 3rd floor and the rent goes from $12 a night to $20 US, per English speaking Suehay. Not a bad view from this old beach front hotel.

My first hotel that I moved from, the Hostel Ria Celestun. Rooms here from $5 dorm to $25 for private room/bath in high season. I moved because the front door jammed and no locksmith available for a week. Manager Suehay moved me to Maria Del Carmen.

I pack in 15 minutes and walk 1 block to the new hotel. This is Celestun's main street.

My new room. In February it is way too cold at night for A/C. About 68 actually but the sea breeze made it cold enough for a blanket.

Back of new hotel, dogs rest in the shade. The liquor store and cold beers are across the street from the hotel. No room service here!

Lunch time, I walk 500 yards to one of the 3 beach front restaurants.

My table, I elect the corner out of the chilly north wind. I will soon move to the warm sunny beach.
