Words or photos cannot describe the crispness of the air here, the smell of the wood in the kitchen stove, the look of wool coats and jackets when just a couple of hours away a sweltering Pacific beach-side destination awaits. I hope and pray for some way to freeze this moment in my memory, but I know from experience it will never come to pass.
